Marin County Housing Programs and Options
The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program (formerly known as Section 8) provides assistance to very low-income Marin County individual residents and families to enable them to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private rental housing market.

MHA manages the Public Housing program for the County of Marin and assists familes by providing affordable housing which are rented out to eligible tenants at affordable rates.

The BMR Homeownership program offers low and moderate-income , first-time homebuyers the opportunity to purchase specified condominium units in Marin County at less than market value.
The Marin County Mortgage Credit Certificate (“MCC”) Program offers a valuable Federal Income Tax Credit for eligible First-Time Homebuyers who are interested in buying a home in Marin County.
