Welcome to the Housing Authority of the County of Marin Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly Section 8). The County of Marin has a great need for quality affordable housing. Housing Choice Voucher Program families come to us through the waiting list and as transfers from different Housing Authorities. These families represent hundreds of people who are seeking affordable housing. The need for quality housing is tremendous.

MHA’s goal is to expand housing opportunities for Housing Choice Voucher Program families in quality neighborhoods that have not traditionally featured strong participation in the program. This goal includes improving rental assistance in the county’s many residential and multi-unit neighborhoods where our participant families will be able to benefit from Marin’s award-winning schools, open spaces, and close knit communities. In other words, we want to upgrade our rental housing stock as well as build partnerships in more communities. With your assistance, we can reach our goals.
